When we realize that we live in a marketed society we understand that almost anything on the shelf of our grocery store to our health food store is all dollar signs. Naturally there are companies who stand by their products and are making a difference in this world. But what do we really know? As a Reiki Master & a Young Living Executive, I've seen so many clients receive immediate results when using Young Living oils unlike anything else on the Market.
I'm very interested in knowing what's out there other than Young Living and you'd be surprised what companies are not telling you because they do not even know ! I called and spoke to a wonderful company who is a major seller of "Organic" Oils. You can find these oils in specialty shops all over the city. I will not mention the name of the company out of integrity. The women I spoke to was incredibly knowledgeable about Essential oils and also was very familiar with Young Living. She had her difference of opinion about untrained distributors using undiluted oils on clients. She was more compliant with the British methodology of Aromatherapy. When I asked her about where she bought her oils from, she told me that she purchased them from all over the world, from 100's of farms and assured me that they were all organic. I agreed and said that's important. Then I asked her how the oils were distilled. She said, "I'm sorry I don't understand your question." I told her that distillation is one of key steps to creating a High quality oil and she agreed. She then told me, " Well how can I know that, we have hundreds of vendors."
And this is where Young Living sets the standards for being the only TRUE innovator or Therapeutic grade essential oils.
D. Gary Young himself, flies allover the world to find new distilleries that will operate under Young Living standards, which are the highest in the world. Many fall short because the farm/distillery will do everything right. Precision harvesting to distillation. But when the oil is tested they will come back with high levels of metals and toxins. It maybe considered a good oil but not therapeutic. There are farms that are deemed organic and are 10 miles from the high way or from processing plants. This all plays a part in the life of a plant and ultimately the oil.
Many of my friends come back from Egypt claiming they bought oils that are therapeutic oils. When you first smell the oils you can smell the perfume quality and they are put into clear bottles which jeopardizes the integrity of the oil to begin with. There is no company like Young Living.
Some of the questions that always come up are:
1. Why are Young Living Oils so expensive?
2. Why doesn't Young Living say "Organic" on the bottles?
3. What does Therapeutic really mean?
